HHSAA Warns of Fraudulent Accounts

The HHSAA has been made aware of as many as 8 fraudulent HHSAA Twitter accounts that impersonate the HHSAA and have links to what they claim are “live streams” and ticket sales of various member school events. They tag a number of schools, organizations and individuals in their posts to gain followers and lure you to click on links. If you come across these accounts, do not click on any of the links. Please block the account immediately. The HHSAA is taking steps to report and shut down these profiles.

HOW TO BLOCK A TWITTER ACCOUNT:

Click on the “three dots” menu in the upper right corner of the social media account profile:

In the dropdown menu, select the “Block” option.

A window will appear stating: “They will not be able to follow you or view your posts, and you will not see posts or notifications from @.....”. Select the red Block button to confirm the request.
